We had mould in the attic and made an appointment for a consultation. We met with Marc and it went very well. He told us we would have a quote in 48 hours. One week later, we still hadn't heard from him so we emailed him and he had forgotten about us. He sent the quote by email which stated most of the things he had told us in person. This included sealed off area with a negative air pump that would stay attached in place up to 48 hours after the work was done to ensure there would be no contamination to the rest of the house. No such thing was done. I wasn't present at the time the work was done (other family members were present) so I could not communicate this right away. The next day I expressed my concerns and was told that they would compensate by not charging us more because our attic was apparently bigger than what they expected! We were also told that there would be a 15 year transferable warranty on the work done and it would be hand delivered within 2 days. One week later, we still hadn't received anything. I emailed Marc and he promised it would be delivered by the end of the week. Fast forward 2 months later and multiple emails with Marc, he still hadn't sent us the warranty. Finally, we decided to contact headquarters and they sent the warranty by email, which looked like something I could have made myself in Word. Also, the 15 year warranty was not honoured. Instead, they told me it was only 2 years! I could not argue with them because Marc had not written it in the contract agreement. How disappointing, seeing as how I did research, shopped around, and had recommendations to use this company. I will be telling all my friends and family how bad the service was.read more

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Marc for an assessment. The visit was scheduled because two mold removal companies told us that we had some in the attic. One said it had to be dealt with within two weeks at a cost of approx $8,000. Another company was brought in for a second opinion. They also recommended that we use their removal service for around $5,000. The second company said it wasn't as bad as the first but would need to be dealt with before it spread.Something didn't seem right with the assessments and estimates so we took the time to do the research and bring in some experts. Being that CRS worked on projects for Mike Holmes I knew I was on to something.A meeting was setup for Tuesday which ended up being postponed. Marc called us to reschedule because he had to deal with a water emergency with one of his clients. He asked to push the meeting back by two days in the event that the client needed additional services. As much as I wanted him to come in quickly for the assessment I respected that he could prioritize his calls and allow for the additional time to fully take care of the emergency.When we met today we expected to hear similar results as the other two companies. The only difference being that the issue would be taken care of by a reputable business. After a difficult climb into the attic (the opening is small and badly placed) he came back down with shocking news... There was no mold. He then took the time to explain why by showing us pictures he took while up there and showing comparisons with other homes. He also explained why the other companies might have said what they did. He was very thorough in his explanations. His 12 years of construction experience also helped explain subtleties that couldn't be done by other removal services. He easily could have told us that we needed his services but advised us otherwise. He was genuine, honest and a true business man. You could tell that he wasn't interested in the transaction. He was interested in the relationship. He knew that if he was honest with us that it would leave room for potential opportunities in the future. So that's essentially what I'm doing now (without being asked to). I want people to know that we had an amazing experience even though no work was done. Not just because we learned that a large expense wasn't needed but because he took care of the assessment as if it was his own home.If we ever need restoration services he will be the first person we contact. If anyone I know needs these services I will make sure they deal with Marc. I actually wanted to tip him for his visit but could tell he wasn't the type to accept it.The entire process from initial contact to final visit was professional and also friendly. I highly recommend Marc / CRS to anyone needing restoration services.read more

Terrific service! We had mould problems in our house as a result of a water damage and this company really took great care of our home and health. They are very professional and knowledgeable with anything related to mould, water damage and asbestos. We were so happy that we called them and we are now breathing nice healthy air at home.
