I bought a poster online from l’Affichiste. They failed to reveal a series of nail holes and a small tear in the poster that weren’t visible in the photos. Unfortunately, I didn’t ask before I bought it, and I didn’t look at it closely until today — a few months after it arrived. (I took a quick look when it was delivered and didn’t notice the holes or the tear; it wasn’t until this morning, when I looked it over for backing and framing that I saw them.) The poster is the right size, shape, color, and subject, so I’m keeping it. But I’m disappointed that I overpaid for a poster in B- condition and won’t be doing business with l’Affichiste again.read more

Helpful and knowledgeable staff that took time to show me the entire inventory and answered all my questions. The posters are beautiful, mostly from France but generally from Europe, Montreal, and China. Small ones are around $50, several nice large ones go for $100, and the rarest can fetch $1000 and up. A must-see shop for any lover of vintage advertising and lithography! read more
